Prima Architectural is an integral part of the broader Schiavello Group; we are one of the largest Joinery & Cabinet Maker operations in Melbourne, with a team of approximately 30 employees including expert cabinet makers, wood machinists, timber polishers and project managers who oversee each project through completion and beyond.
We collaborate with designers and architects to deliver solutions that perfectly match the needs of clients across various sectors including workplace, retail, hospitality, healthcare and residential.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Team to prepare and deliver accurate pricing and project estimates to our clients.
Working with a highly driven estimating team, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation and completion of accurate tenders that are reflective of the project brief
* Determining raw material requirements
* Liaising with the key stake holders including Clients / Government Agencies / Architects / Project Managers and Subcontractors to ensure delivery schedules are met
* Ensuring production costs remain within budget
* Providing timely notifications / escalations to management on an as needed basis
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Demonstrated estimating experience with knowledge of estimating software
* Experience in Architectural joinery working on highly detailed custom projects is highly desired
* Proven ability to read and interpret commercial specifications, architectural documentation, structural & services documentation
* High degree of attention to detail and the capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Refined interpersonal skills with ability to build constructive working relationships and negotiate desired outcomes
* Advanced experience in the full suite of Microsoft Office packages
