About the Position
The Night Caretaker at BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the park during evening and nighttime hours. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the security and comfort of our guests, and managing various tasks to enhance their experience. The night caretaker is required to move onsite into a two-bedroom unit.
Duties
* After-hours contact: Provide friendly and professional after-hours guest assistance, responding to incidents and emergency situations calmly and appropriately in a solution-focused and professional manner. Communicate and uphold park rules, including evening noise curfew.
* Booking & Administration: Manage after-hours phone bookings, payments, and reservation system tasks as required. Accurately record guest information and reconcile daily takings.
* Security & Park Presentation: Conduct evening patrols to maintain a safe, quiet, and welcoming environment. Ensure reception and shared guest areas are clean, secure, and well presented. Inspect and close park facilities including pool, amenities, recreation areas, and equipment nightly.
* Linen: Nightly linen processing, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking linen.
* Holiday Activities: Setup and pack down children's movie nights, including preparing popcorn and ensuring the recreation area is clean and reset afterwards.
About You
Available to five nights a week from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and on call until 8:30am the following morning. Able to move into the onsite accommodation. Joint applicants welcome.
Great customer service skills teamed with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail.
Calm and confident under pressure.
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, able to take ownership of the park overnight, follow through on tasks, and understand the importance of safety, security and presentation.
Independent and self-motivated. Comfortable working alone, making sound decisions without supervision, and managing time effectively across patrols and operational tasks.
Physical capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
