About the Position:
We are looking for an energetic, proactive team player to join our production team to assist with cleaning, packing, storing and preparing cleaned items initially on a 6 month contract basis.
Our ideal candidate will be able to fulfil the following requirements:
* Available to work full time Monday – Friday.
* Be organized and have good time management skills.
* Enjoy keeping areas neat and tidy.
* Understands the needs of a fast-paced laboratory.
* Can work under pressure while still producing quality work.
* Can communicate and work with various stakeholders including, Production, Quality, Management, Admin and Warehouse.
* Able to work with different types of equipment (training to be provided).
* Capable of working on their feet for long periods and familiar and comfortable with personal protective equipment.
Key duties:
* Washing various types and sizes of reusable laboratory ware i.e., glass ware, plastic ware, instruments, and equipment (includes very large bulky items).
* Cleaning the laboratory & warehouse (laboratory, cool rooms, hot rooms, warehouse areas etc)
* Stacking & storing reusable equipment after washing.
* Preparing items for sterilizing (internal & external).
* Take ownership and responsibility for the wash-up area and overall laboratory cleaning.
* Good laboratory housekeeping and cleaning.
* Compliance with quality standards and adhering to SOP’s/work instructions.
* Keeping detailed and accurate GMP records as required.
* Carry out other tasks as directed by the Team Leader and/or Manager.
Experience & Attributes:
As a critical role within Treidlia Biovet, the successful applicant will most likely possess the following attributes:
* Previous work experience in a lab setting will be highly regarded.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Possess good team building skills.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively, while following directives where necessary.
* Physically fit for manual cleaning tasks
* Comfortable working with different cleaning chemicals
