My client is Global Private Equity Investor headquartered in the US. The firm currently has well over US$120BN invested in ~50 countries with multiple offices across the US, Europe and Asia. The firm has a flexible investment mandate with deep expertise in a number of core industry sectors and is a pioneering investor in emerging markets globally.
They are looking to hire an Investment Analyst/Associate to join their dedicated Real Estate investment team in Sydney that will execute a thesis-driven growth investing mandate targeting a diverse range of real estate assets and real estate-aligned sectors in the region. The role will work with and be mentored by an experienced team of investors with deep expertise in the sector and will have responsibility for:
* Partnering with the senior team in the execution of new investments and optimising of existing portfolio investments
* Evaluating prospective real estate investment opportunities and assisting on due diligence activities
* Building and maintaining financial models at the asset, portfolio and corporate level
* Preparation of investment memos for presentation to the IC
* Assist in the transition of assets from execution to asset management
* Support origination efforts and ad-hoc value-add projects as needed
The successful candidate will likely have:
* 2+ years of experience in investment management, investment banking, tier-1 corporate advisory or corporate development
* Proven financial modelling, quantitative and analytical capabilities
* Ability to think through complex situations and articulate appropriate, logical positions
* Experience in real estate, real assets or a similar sector would be highly desirable
* Desire to work in a small team as a part of a fast-paced and dynamic environment
