About the Role
In this role, the Graduate/Junior Litigation Lawyer will assist across our four main practice areas: commercial litigation, property, construction, and insurance law.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
* managing litigation files & developing core case management skills
* analysing client documents and instructions to identify key issues
* communicating with clients to gather information and clarify case details
* drafting initial versions of legal documents (incl. letters of demand, pleadings & witness statements)
* developing effective time management strategies to balance growing caseload responsibilities and client expectations
* participating in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Whilst all your work will be overseen by senior lawyers, you will be an independent thinker & operator who can hit the road running.
What we're looking for
* Full Australian working rights essential
* Current Australian law degree with strong academic results essential
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously & not require much mentoring
* Excellent analytical and organisational skills
* Proven strong writing skills and an eye for detail
* Min. 1 year previous experience in similar role advantageous.
