Urgent requirement of Network Engineer - Contract - PerthRequirementsSwitches:Design, configuration, and deployment of core network switches in datacentres and mining sites.End-to-end configurations and deployment of distribution and edge switches across the production network.Implement and coordinate Mining OT (Operational Technology) connectivity to the IT Network.Stage switch configurations, transfer to site, and mount switches in communications racks.Migrate all network cables from old to new switches, decommission old switches, and relocate them.Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei network switches.Knowledge of network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VRF, VPN, DHCP setups.Strong understanding of switching protocols, Spanning-tree, VSTP, VLANs, VTP, and stack switch configurations.Experience with Cisco ISE, TACACS, Cisco DNAC, and SolarWinds.Handling SFP types, fiber optics, and power supplies for switches.Experience with cabling in datacenters and mining sites network racks.Knowledge of wireless network infrastructure.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during or after migration.Document network changes, configurations, and diagrams.Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware or software issues with switches.Provide training and handover to BAU teams post-migration.General requirementsAbility to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.Valid Australian driver's license and working rights in Australia.Experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.Strong adherence to site safety, policies, and cybersecurity standards.Cisco CCNP Routing/Switching/Wireless certifications are highly preferred.Duration: 01 month with possible extensionEligibility: Australian/NZ Citizens or PR holders only
