Client-side Mechanical Engineer - Asset Integrity Specialist
This is a unique chance to work with our global client, a leading gold producer focused on safety, sustainability, and responsible mining practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting routine and ad hoc inspections of critical equipment and facilities
* Preparing inspection reports, recommendations, and asset integrity documentation
* Evaluating equipment risks and suggesting preventative actions to avoid outages
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Australian Standards and site inspection practices, as well as experience in the inspection and management of pressure vessels and cranes within brownfield environments. They should also possess a proven background in asset integrity management on mining or heavy industrial assets, ideally in gold or mineral processing.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 10+ years of experience in brownfields work within mining processing plants, materials handling, or similar
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
This role involves working in Perth with a mix of office and remote arrangements, requiring travel to operations across Australia, PNG, and Ghana, as well as internationally and domestically. The successful candidate will be willing to travel regularly and hold a valid passport.
