About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Data Specialist with a proven background in Logistics and a strong focus on supplier and customer relationship management. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role plays a key part in connecting shopfitting project managers, warehouse operations with transport providers, leveraging data analysis to drive performance and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring advanced Excel skills, hands-on experience with Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and a history of working directly with transport companies. In addition to core operational responsibilities, the successful candidate will also assist in the tendering and quoting of transport-related projects, supporting procurement and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee transport bookings, scheduling, and issue resolution in partnership with 3PL carriers
* Act as internal liaison between project management team and warehousing and transport operations
* Analyse warehouse and transport data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
* Act as the primary interface between the warehouse, transport providers, and internal stakeholders.
* Support the tendering and quoting process for new or existing transport projects, including data gathering, rate analysis, and proposal evaluation.
* Produce accurate and timely reports using Excel and WMS data to support operational decision-making.
* Collaborate with Customers and internal teams to ensure high levels of service delivery and issue resolution.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with transport partners and customers.
* Contribute to logistics process improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport analyst role.
* Strong working knowledge of transport operations and dealing with external transport providers.
* Experience supporting or managing transport-related tendering and quoting processes.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.).
* Proficiency with IMS and WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle, or similar).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage competing stakeholder expectations effectively.
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in a 3PL or multi-client warehouse environment.
* Familiarity with Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
* Exposure to cost modelling or freight rate analysis.
* Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
