KORE Wireless is seeking a Pre-Sales IoT Solutions Architect who is fluent in Mandarin to join our team in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role, with time split between our Melbourne office and home.
This is a customer-facing pre-sales role, and the successful candidate must have proven experience designing and supporting IoT solutions, with strong knowledge of cellular connectivity technologies. You will work closely with the sales team to support new business opportunities by translating customer requirements into scalable, technically robust IoT solutions.
You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic business insight to help customers unlock the full potential of IoT connectivity and mobility solutions.
The role will support customers across China and the ANZ region, therefore the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English is essential. Experience working with customers in both markets would be advantageous.
Key ResponsibilitiesWinning New Business Opportunities
* Act as the technical lead within the pre-sales process, partnering closely with the sales team to design and present IoT solutions that win new business. Success in this role will be measured by the successful conversion of opportunities.
* Conduct customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, and solution presentations to understand client requirements and challenges.
* Design and present end-to-end IoT solution architectures, including devices, connectivity, platforms, and integration.
* Provide subject matter expertise in cellular IoT connectivity, including technologies such as LTE, CAT-M, and emerging mobility solutions.
* Translate technical and business requirements into clear solution proposals and architecture documentation.
Delivering and Supporting Customer Opportunities
* Develop technical proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) outlining scope, deliverables, and implementation approaches.
* Work closely with internal teams including Product, Network, Professional Services, Marketing and IT to design and deliver effective solutions.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers during the sales cycle and early solution implementation phases.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement
* Act as a conduit between customers and internal teams by providing detailed feedback on technical performance and market needs.
* Identify opportunities for product enhancement and new features based on real-world customer interactions, ensuring our solutions remain at the cutting edge.
* Work closely with Product, Marketing, Professional Services, Network, and IT teams to refine our offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant role.
* Strong experience with IoT technologies and architectures is essential, including device connectivity, IoT platforms, and data integration.
* Hands‐on experience with cellular connectivity technologies is essential, including LTE, LTE‐M, or other mobile network technologies used in IoT deployments.
* Experience working with IoT platforms, device management systems, middleware, or M2M technologies.
* Familiarity with additional connectivity technologies such as Wi‐Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, LPWAN, or satellite networks.
* Strong customer‐facing communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions.
* Experience running technical workshops and discovery sessions with enterprise customers.
* Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
* Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
