About the Role…
As a Disability Employment Services Employment Consultant at APM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants (job seekers) to transform their lives. Reporting to the Business Manager at our APM office in Queanbeyan, NSW, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and our participants, to deliver tailored employment solutions. This role is exciting, challenging, inclusive, and rewarding. You will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, achieving great outcomes and making a difference together.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and secure employment opportunities for participants with local employers
2. Support our participants to identify skills to become job ready
3. Deliver quality service whilst adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements
4. Enhance participants' employability through training and support service referrals
5. Develop personalised job plans for clear employment pathways
6. Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups

We hire driven, solution-focused individuals with a can-do attitude. Candidates should demonstrate empathy and compassion towards those with disabilities, injuries, or barriers to employment. Motivated to go above and beyond for their participants, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain composed and adaptable in daily challenges.
We find that people with backgrounds in sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development, and administration are well suited to this role. We provide full training and will help you leverage your transferable skills into a new career in Employment Services.

* A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
* A MyGovID (Standard level)
* Willingness to complete a National Police Check
* Able to pass a Working with Children Check
* Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
