About the role
We are seeking motivated security service professionals to work as Security Officers at an internationally renowned education institution in Queensland (Brisbane), on a casual basis (with potential for a permanent role).
This role is designed for a security career professional who will be provided the opportunity to work autonomously- applying their broad skill set to a vast array of security operational activities-daily.
You will be doing something different day to day in dynamic and interesting customer facing roles protecting people and places. You will focus on providing excellence in customer service, patrolling and security assets and maintaining public safety wherever you work.
Responsibilities and duties include:
* Observe and report on campus activity.
* Delivering excellent service performance standards at the campus, whilst developing operational efficiencies and improve performance.
* Responding to workplace emergencies.
* Site safety inspections and protecting users from security related risks.
* Manage incidents to achieve the best possible outcomes.
* Reduce risk and increase safety.
* Incident reporting.
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrated prior experience in a security role.
* QLD Security Licence.
* Full unrestricted QLD Driver Licence.
* First Aid Certificate (current).
* RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol (Preferred).
* Flexibility to work across a 7 day period.
* Competent computer skills.
* Superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Exceptional personal presentation.
* Reliability and punctuality.
