About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and passionate support workers to provide assistance in a new Independent Support arrangement (ISA) service in Gippsland.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with complex behaviors and psychosocial or neurological disabilities. A passion for enabling and working with people is essential.
This role involves implementing support plans based on the individual's needs, preferences, and interests. You will help with daily living tasks, such as personal care, hygiene, and household duties, as well as administering medication.
A strong team player with excellent communication skills is required. If you are willing to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training, and work collaboratively, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
* Implement Support Plans: Develop and implement support plans tailored to the individual's needs, goals, and preferences.
* Daily Living Assistance: Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, hygiene, and household duties.
* Medication Administration: Safely administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
* Transportation: Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, and other activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience Working with Disabilities: Proven experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with complex behaviors and psychosocial or neurological disabilities.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Certifications: Hold current certifications, such as NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid Certificate with CPR.
