The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, driving operational effectiveness, and partnering with key stakeholders across the business. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and has a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities include:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day financial control and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
- Deliver monthly financial reporting and partner with business units to consolidate financial results.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, dividend management, and banking relationships.
- Coordinate annual financial statements and external audit processes.
- Support tax compliance including BAS, income tax, FBT, payroll tax and WorkCover.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency.
- Oversee payroll processes and reporting.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Take ownership of accounting and expense management systems.
- Lead implementation and integration of recent finance systems and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement by documenting and refining finance processes.
- Leverage data and systems expertise (MS D365, Power BI, cloud-based tools) to enhance reporting and insights.
Business Partnering & Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and senior leadership, providing financial guidance and commercial insight.
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders to support strategic objectives and growth initiatives.
- Engage with banks, auditors, and tax advisors as required.
Your Profile
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a background in finance or accounting, ideal opportunity to step up from a Senior Financial Accountant role
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience. Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the confidence to partner across multiple stakeholders.
- Hands-on approach, with a balance of analytical thinking and commercial acumen.
- Experience in financial systems implementation or improvement projects will be highly regarded.
