Overview

Under section 50D of the Equal Opportunities Act of 1984 the applicant must be recognised as a member of the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community. This is a Permanent appointment for 1 FTE. Location: Rockingham Peel Group, part of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS).

We are seeking a Welfare / Recreation Officer Aboriginal to join our team. The successful applicant will assess and promote mental health welfare/recreational needs and provide mental health-focused welfare/recreational services for consumers attending the Intensive Day Therapy Unit (Boordarlang).

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may be selected from this process.
