In this role, you will supervise 6–8 mobile garden maintenance teams across commercial sites throughout Melbourne’s South East suburbs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and efficient day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include: Daily management of 7 Gardening Teams, (includes 1 team on a full time static site) Perform ongoing mentoring, training, teaching and work along side teams for support. Complete weekly site inspections, performing quality and quantity checks on works completed. Developing and implementing site management plans for teams to follow to ensure consistent service to the client. Direct liaising with the contract manager to ensure teams are completing works, contracted scope of works, providing suggestions for additional works or where gardens could be enhanced for ad hoc quotes. Managing delivery/completion of tool servicing, repairs, swap overs in and out of the workshop. Pre-starts being completed daily by all teams. Managing daily timesheets and leave forms for their respective teams. A maturity level to manage adults and apprentices, have open conversations, provide accountability and manage HR items at a ground level. Develop and support an ongoing rapport with their teams, maintain a great working culture and be an excellent communicator both verbal, written and via technology (e.g. email, text etc) Must have experience and a skill set in Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and relevant computer skills/mobile app usages. Direct report to Operations Manager. About You Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members. Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens. Manual Drivers' license Valid White Card Valid Working With Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
