We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join a busy manufacturing workshop specialising in truck bodies and heavy vehicle components.
This is a hands‐on role focused on delivering high‐quality finishes, durability and corrosion protection across steel, aluminium, and composite products.
What you'll be doing:
* Preparing surfaces (sanding, grinding, cleaning, masking)
* Mixing and applying primers, topcoats, and protective coatings
* Spray painting truck bodies, trays, tippers, and components
* Carrying out touch‐ups and rectification work
* Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards
* Maintaining paint equipment and keeping the work area clean and organised
* Working safely and collaborating with the wider workshop team
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as an Automotive or Industrial Painter
* Experience working with steel and aluminium
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Experience in truck body or heavy vehicle manufacturing (desirable)
* Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing or similar (desirable)
* Experience with 2‐pack paints and industrial coatings (desirable)
* Forklift licence or willingness to obtain (desirable)
