About us

Since its inception in 2014, The Canberra Psychology Centre for Children & Families has established itself as a high quality provider of best practice psychological services. Our Centre was created as a dedicated service for the Canberra community, and surrounding areas, providing assessment/diagnostics and evidence based therapy to children, adolescents and adults.

Our team of experienced clinicians are passionate in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and adults. We are committed to evidence-based practice, collaboration, innovation and delivering tailored care to meet the unique needs of our clients.

Our Assessment Team is dedicated in their provision of high quality, best practice assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders etc.).

This role is an excellent opportunity for Psychologist's who are devoted to providing high-quality mental health services, and working within a team of like‐minded professionals.

What you'll be doing:

* Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for clients
* Provide evidence-based psychological interventions and therapies, such as cognitive‐behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy
* Collaborate with other professionals to deliver holistic care
* Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the Centre's initiatives
* Maintain detailed client records and ensure strict compliance with professional and ethical standards

Who we are looking for:

* Clinical and Registered Psychologists
* Experience in child and adolescent mental health
* Interest in therapy and/or assessments (e.g. ADHD, Autism)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding ethical standards
* Full-time, part-time, permanent or contract
