Health and Safety Officer
Minimum Qualification / Requirements
* Grade 12 with Relevant Tertiary Qualification
* Computer Literate - MS Office with Excel experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Valid driver license
* Clear criminal record
* Minimum of 5 years’ working experience
* Legal compliance knowledge
* Medically fit to perform duties in the mine Health and Safety Act
* Must be able to work under pressure
Duties and Responsibilities
* Investigating accidents and incidents
* Conducting and completing risk assessments and site inspections
* Conduct risk assessments
* Identify potential hazards
* Monitoring compliance with safety regulations
* Regular inspections of equipment and tools
* Practice safe working conditions
* Monitoring working conditions of employees
* Assisting management to ensure employees follow health and safety regulations
* Weekly, monthly and ad hoc feedback and reporting
* Ad hoc assignments
