As an EO, your role is to provide coordination and support of organisational priorities across the Branch, with a focus on assisting the Chief People Officer (SES Band 1). You will be required to understand the strategic priorities of POSB and the Department more broadly and have the capacity to provide well-considered advice and support to your senior manager and branch employees.
Working closely with the senior leaders and external stakeholders, you will act as the principle point of contact on issues as required and adapt to changing business priorities. You will draft and manage correspondence on behalf of the Chief People Officer including briefs, meeting papers and agendas, prepare for Senate Estimates hearings and respond to corporate reporting requirements such as the Treasury Corporate Plan, Annual Report and assist with internal budget monitoring. You may also be required to undertake research, provide advice on a diverse range of topics relating to human resources, financial and office practice matters and support the Executive Assistant to prioritise and manage daily workflow.
The successful applicant for this position will have:
- well-developed judgement and organisational skills to identify and triage the needs and outputs of the work area and follow up action items on behalf of the Chief People Officer,

- highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to learn new systems, processes and work approaches, and
- the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities whilst maintaining high regard for confidentiality and always exercising professionalism.
**Desirable Qualifications / Experience**
Ideally, you will have experience in a similar position including in a senior secretariat or coordination function and or an EO or Senior Executive Assistant within the APS. Working in a sensitive or confidential environment and qualifications in a related discipline would also be well regarded.
