Simpro Software Implementation Consultant - Remote
Are you an experienced Simpro (or similar software) user or consultant who loves improving systems and getting businesses running smarter?
Platinum Consultants is a specialist consulting business working with trade companies across Australia. We help electricians, plumbers, HVAC, and other service-based businesses implement Simpro and related systems so they can scale, streamline, and succeed.
We are now looking to add a Senior Simpro Software Implementation Consultant to our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, knows how businesses actually work, and helping businesses streamline their operations.
You’ve worked in or around trade-based businesses and understand quoting, invoicing, scheduling, and job management—not as theory, but as practical workflows. You may have implemented systems before or been the Simpro “power user” in your company.
You’re confident running projects end-to-end. You can scope, build, train, and troubleshoot without needing constant direction. You’re comfortable running online workshops and presenting to clients. At the same time, you’re approachable, patient, and able to help clients adopt new ways of working. You like being the one who knows the most in the company, and can’t stand not knowing the answer to a complex problem.
You like learning new software, figuring out integrations, and getting systems to talk to each other. You’re motivated by efficiency—finding smarter, faster ways to do things—and you take pride in producing high-quality work that’s both functional and reliable.
This is not an easy role, but for the right person, it is a dream job which is interesting, has opportunity for growth, and largely remote with great rewards.
The role includes:
- Leading Simpro implementations for recent clients, from scoping through to delivery.
- Building systems, templates, forms, and reports tailored to client needs.
- Training client teams—trades, office staff, and executives—to use the software effectively.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues as they arise.
- Building and implementing custom software solutions for businesses (APIs, automations, etc.)
- Staying on top of Simpro developments and third-party integrations (Xero, ServiceM8, WorkflowMax, Zapier, etc.)
Requirements:
- Strong background in trade services or similar industries.
- Experience with Simpro (consultant or power user) or with similar software (ServiceM8, WorkflowMax, Ascora, etc.) is an advantage.
- Ability to manage projects independently and deliver outcomes without constant oversight.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Based in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne. Willingness to travel 1–3 days/month nationally as required.
What’s on offer:
- Full-time role, largely remote.
- $70K + Super for those earlier in the journey.
- $90K–$120K for proven consultants or experienced Simpro users.
- Up to $150K within 12–24 months for top performers who master the role and take on greater responsibility and a bonus structure for high performers.
