Your Position
This opportunity is for an engineer to join our team to deliver high quality work under Federal Battery Rebate and Solar PV programs and will include professional development within the growing solar and battery industry.You shall be a member of the Operation and Technical Team and be responsible for providing systems and engineering support to facilitate the adoption of Battery and Solar products in the commercial and residential marketplace.
The role requires knowledge of electrical, electronics, process and related engineering fields. Industry knowledge and prior experience working with Solar photovoltaic and/or battery systems is highly desirable, including in installation and/or EPC sector. The ability to comprehend and solve engineering problems, assist with site specific issues, and provide relevant feedback to installers is required.
This role will be a member of the team, working alongside other team members to provide product & installation related support to our partners as well as the certified Installer network. This role is to provide solar and battery storage technical expertise and troubleshooting advice to both partners and installers across Australia.
Responsibilities
Provide phone and email-based problem solving and fault-finding support for installers and customers by responding to inbound calls and emails.
Provide pre-sales information about products and answering technical product enquiries.
Monitoring battery system fleet and generating cases to track and resolve customer enquiries.
Liaise with service, sales, and repair centre departments to ensure cases are dealt with efficiently.
Regular collaboration with the technical sales team and providing feedback to develop the technical support product documentation.
Assisting in developing the technical support process and being the contact person for technical questions from colleagues across various departments.
Coordinate with Engineering with tracking of field; issues, and subsequent product-modifications, logging product bugs in a central database.
Assist other team members with troubleshooting and/or administrative tasks as needed.
Monitor and act upon quality analysis reports provided by the QA team.
Participate in ongoing training/education of industry standards and product-specific information.
Skills and experience
2+ years of experience in an electrical, electronic, process and/or related engineering field.
Relevant qualification in electrical engineering and/or renewable energy equivalent.
Experience in residential solar photovoltaic applications, battery systems and utility grid connection.
Experience in a role requiring inter department communication, coordination, and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Ability to handle high volume phone calls and emails and provide remote technical support.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – particularly verbal communication skills that will allow quick troubleshooting over the phone by getting to the root of the issue quickly and diffusing high pressure scenarios.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills along with ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong Microsoft windows and office skills including Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience
