Overview
Adventist Senior Living (ASL) is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our friendly Corporate Services team on a part-time basis (30h / week). This role works closely with the Financial Accountant, Accounts Payable Officer and Client Accounts Officer across key financial and corporate accounting functions. You will also collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders, contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day operations and supporting the ongoing growth of our organisation.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and process General Ledger transactions and perform reconciliations
2. Assist with the month-end accounting process
3. Manage banking tasks and complete daily bank reconciliations
4. Assist with Accounts Payable function
5. Assist with asset management activities
6. Support statutory reporting, including PAYG, FBT and BAS obligations
About You
7. A Business, Commerce or Finance degree (completed or currently in progress)
8. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
9. Excellent time management, analytical and numeracy skills
10. Experience in the Aged Care or Health Care sector (desirable)
11. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software
