About The Role
Support the delivery of maintenance activities for the mechanical elements at the Tamar Valley Power Station, ensuring assets operate efficiently and reliably. Salary ranges from $82,000 to $105,000 based on experience, plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver mechanical maintenance activities, including outages and routine work.
* Diagnose and solve mechanical issues using root cause analysis and predictive techniques.
* Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and report on progress and trends.
* Provide technical advice and source parts and services to keep the plant running smoothly.
* Collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and adapt to new technologies and changes.
* Keep yourself and others safe by following safety systems, procedures, and regulations.
* Participate in the call‑out roster, liaise with contractors, and source maintenance goods and services.
Qualifications
* Qualified mechanical tradesperson with a current driver's license.
* Hold or are ready to obtain a Type B gas restricted qualification.
* Experience in heavy industrial or production environments with strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Strong fault‑finding skills, ability to plan, prioritise, and get the job done.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient using computer systems to support work and confident using OH&S practices.
* Committed to safety and possess solid knowledge of OH&S practices.
