This is a vital role that involves delivering high-quality financial support to enable an organization to achieve its ambitious goals.
As a critical part of the Operations team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day financial support and ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
You will also support elements of contracts management to ensure financial accuracy for project acquittals.
The position works collaboratively across the organization, delivering high-quality financial support to empower the organization to make a game-changing impact on sustainability and social impact through finance.
Key Responsibilities
With oversight from the Executive Manager Finance and Operations, you will process accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries in accordance with established procedures.
* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
* Support the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly reports to support internal decision-making and compliance obligations.
* Support contract administration by maintaining financial records related to service agreements, supplier contracts, and funding arrangements.
* Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
About You
We are looking for someone who thrives on open communication, transparency, and a dynamic work environment. You should have a 'can do' attitude and be willing to roll up your sleeves and tackle new challenges.
* A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial administrative roles.
* Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB, Xero, SAP, or QuickBooks), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
* Understanding of basic accounting principles, GST, BAS preparation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
