This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension, for a further 12 months and/or permanency, subject to business requirements.

About The Role
The Knowledge Information and Technology Directorate is accountable for the provision of services and technology that support strategic and operational processes across the Department of Justice, enable information to be leveraged effectively and ensure the Department's investment in technology is optimised.
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
The Coordinator Telecommunications is responsible for managing the department's telecommunications systems and vendor contracts, ensuring effective service delivery, strategic alignment, and compliance with departmental policies. The role provides expert advice on telecommunications strategies, leads project teams, and supports continuous improvement in information and knowledge management. It also involves stakeholder engagement, contract oversight, and maintaining awareness of emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support telecommunications systems and services
* Manage vendor contracts and resolve complex service issues
* Lead telecommunications-related projects and contractors
* Provide strategic advice and contribute to planning and improvement initiatives
* Communicate and consult with internal and external stakeholders
* Monitor technology trends and ensure appropriate use of telecommunications tools
* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Ideal Candidate Profile
The panel is seeking a proactive and experienced telecommunications professional with strong leadership and contract management skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of telecommunications technologies, experience in managing service delivery and vendor relationships, and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination capabilities are essential.
