Overview
We are seeking a qualified truck driver based in Coffs Harbour, NSW to work part-time (30.4 hours per week) in a permanent position. The role involves collecting goods from donor properties, unloading them, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery to Salvos stores while working independently under the supervision of the Transport Supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload loose goods, including furniture items.
* Perform labouring tasks with a jockey, lifting and carrying reasonable weights.
* Distribute goods to stores and assist retail staff as required.
* Provide a professional customer relations experience for public interactions.
* Use an electronic device to complete delivery paperwork.
* Maintain safe WHS methods and driving practices.
* Complete pre‐start checks, report incidents, near misses, and vehicle maintenance issues.
* Keep the vehicle clean and maintained.
Qualifications
* MR licence (medium rigid) and current Australian driver's licence.
* Minimum 1 year's driving experience operating a medium rigid vehicle.
* Good time management, reliability and a can‐do attitude.
* Well presented, high energy, hands‐on individual with a proven track record in customer service.
* Safe preparation, loading and unloading of goods experience.
* Reasonable written and oral communication skills.
* Organizational and problem‐solving skills.
* Right to work in Australia.
* Multi‐drop, courier and/or furniture removal experience an advantage.
