We deliver residential and commercial projects across Adelaide. As the business continues to grow, we're seeking an Operations Manager to bring structure, leadership and consistency to project delivery.

About the Role
As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth execution of projects once they are handed over from Sales or Estimating.
You'll oversee workflow, people, resources and site standards - ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
You'll work closely with the General Manager, Managing Director and be supported by an Operations Coordinator who manages much of the reporting, scheduling, lead contact management and fleet administration. This allows you to stay focused on leadership, delivery and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being involved on the ground while also improving systems and processes.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Project & Workflow Delivery
* Overseeing multiple active projects from commencement through to completion
* Reviewing scope, resourcing and material readiness prior to job start
* Monitoring progress and addressing issues or delays
* Supporting pre-starts on complex or high-risk jobs
* Managing and documenting variations during works
Leadership & Team Development
* Providing day-to-day leadership and support to tradespeople and apprentices
* Running toolbox talks and afternoon team briefings
* Supporting performance reviews and regular check-ins
* Maintaining the Skills Matrix and supporting training and upskilling
Materials & Resources
* Coordinating material requirements with the Operations Coordinator
* Reducing downtime caused by material or resource delays
Quality, Safety & Compliance
* Conducting regular workmanship inspections
* Preparing and overseeing SWMS submissions
* Enforcing PPE, uniform and safety standards
* Addressing safety concerns in real time and reporting incidents appropriately
Client, Supplier & Contractor Coordination
* Acting as a key point of contact during project delivery
* Managing scope clarifications and variations during works
* Maintaining clear, professional communication with clients and suppliers
* Escalating issues promptly and transparently

What We're Looking For
You'll likely have:
* Strong operational experience in carpentry, construction or trade-based projects
* Construction industry experience is preferred for this role
* Proven experience leading site teams
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Clear, confident communication
* A practical, solutions-focused mindset
* Strong understanding of safety and quality requirements
* Australian work rights are required at time of application
Trade background or construction management experience is highly regarded

* Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + super
