Key Account Manager Position
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team in Melbourne as a Key Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies that drive growth and expansion in your territory.
About the Role
* Develop and implement account plans to meet sales targets and expand market share in Australia.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders across corporates, government entities, and professional organizations.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and achieve defined goals and objectives.
* Mentor and guide commercial and events teams to achieve maximum B2B market penetration of ITIL products.
* Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
* Monitor own progress against daily/weekly/monthly targets and report accordingly to Headquarters.
* Facilitate and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, working closely with support teams.
* Participate in trade shows, language education events, and strategic forums across the region.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with global product and marketing teams to drive local adaptation and growth.
Requirements
* A post-graduate degree is required in IT or a related field.
* Over 8 years' experience in driving new business development at corporate level, with a proven track record in driving successful business development transactions.
* Awareness of ITIL is desirable but not essential.
* A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who can work across different cultures to help grow the market.
* Sound understanding of channel development, strategy selling principles, partnership strategy, and consultative selling.
* Excellent relationship, communication, and negotiation skills in working with executives, external constituents, and other business functions at all levels of seniority and different cultures.
* Prior experience in international corporate environments and exposure in the Education market, Consulting, or Examination/Certification sectors would be considered assets.
* PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES FROM IT CONSULTING AND/OR TECHNOLOGY BACKGROUNDS.
* Advanced written and spoken English (C2 level certification desired).
* Advanced computer literacy is required.
* Experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar software will be considered an asset.
