About the Company:
For over thirty years this mid-tier engineering consultancy has delivered automation and process control systems spanning PLC, SCADA and HMI, RTU and telemetry, as well as MES systems. With growth of clients and projects we seek an Engineer to support clients in Melbourne, Geelong and SW Victoria.
You will work with a close-knit team of professional engineers on client projects in industries ranging from FMCG to water, energy and other miscellaneous manufacturers.
The Role:
* Working with the engineering team to determine project goals and deliverables.
* Assist in the preparation of preliminary designs and drawing including, electrical circuits for motor control, instruments and controlled devices.
* Provide engineering, contract and project administration support, liaising with suppliers, clients and company project team members.
* Programming PLCs from various vendors.
* Programming SCADA software across platforms including Citect, ClearSCADA, FTViewSE, Wonderware and iFix.
* Programming, commissioning and fault filding of Kingfisher RTUs.
* Programmin HMI software.
* Configuring Variable Speed Drives.
* On site commissioning of automation systems and preparation of reports
About You
This role will suit an experienced electronic, electrical & instrumentation or mechatronic engineer with recognised qualifications by Engineers Australia. Specific exposure to PLCs (Schneider UnityPro, Omron, Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE, Honeywell), SCADA software and RTUs is highly advantageous. Successful candidates will have previous end-to-end project experience including the design, programming and configuration, for the installation and commissioning of control/automation systems.
