An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join the Sydney Insurance (Statutory Classes) team. Working closely with experienced senior practitioners, you will gain exposure to complex personal injury and CTP matters within a supportive and high-performing environment.
The Role
In this role, you will work on a broad range of statutory insurance and personal injury matters, with a primary focus on CTP common law claims.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing a caseload of CTP common law matters
* Advising clients on liability, strategy and risk management
* Drafting court documents and legal correspondence
* Conducting negotiations and achieving commercial outcomes
* Advocacy across multiple jurisdictions
* Working closely with clients and senior lawyers on complex matters
* Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers where appropriate
This role offers direct client contact, hands‐on responsibility and strong mentoring within a well‐established national team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Minimum 4 years' PAE
* Experience in personal injury litigation, ideally acting for insurers
* Exposure to CTP matters or defendant insurance litigation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commercial and strategic thinking ability
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
