Join Metro South Health as a Temporary Full‑Time Director Support Officer. This role provides high‑level executive and administrative support to the Cardiology and General Medicine services at Logan Hospital.
Overview
As the Director Support Officer you will ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations by delivering confidential executive support, managing communications, diary, meetings, travel, records, and roster reporting.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.
* Manage correspondence, transcription of clinical letters and medical reports.
* Provide high‑level secretarial support including diary management, meetings and travel arrangements.
* Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems in line with policy.
* Support medical rosters, payroll reporting and roster variations.
* Work autonomously to prioritise workloads and meet competing deadlines.
* Contribute to service improvements and administrative efficiencies.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated high‑level administrative and secretarial experience.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging while maintaining confidentiality.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Advanced computer skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 wpm, 98% accuracy).
* Experience using medical terminology and working in a healthcare setting (desirable).
* Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
