Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Emergency Department Ward Clerk Team Leader to join our dedicated healthcare team. Working closely with the Ward Clerk Team Leader and the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations while providing leadership and support to the Emergency department ward clerks.
Duties
* Coordinate and oversee the Ward Clerk team within the Emergency Department.
* Ensure accurate patient registration, documentation, and record management.
* Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain efficient workflows.
* Provide training, mentorship, and performance support to ward clerks.
* Handle urgent administrative tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Minimum Certificate III in Business Management or equivalent experience in relevant field
* Proven experience as a Ward Clerk, preferably within an Emergency Department.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of hospital systems and patient confidentiality protocols.
