Funeral Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
* Meet with families to formalise pre-arranged and pre-paid funeral choices into a contract.
* Enter funeral data into our computer program, liaise with associated industries, register details with the relevant authorities and engage with families at the reception area.
* Collecting and sorting mail, banking and occasional errands.
* Be on call after hours for emergency needs, approximately one week per month, with potential after-hours transfers in our vehicle.
* Meeting with families to provide advice, guidance and funeral options tailored to their needs.
* Home, hospital, and nursing home transfers.
* General duties to ensure the health and cleanliness of the funeral establishment.
Requirements and Skills:
* Physical and mental capability to perform standard industry tasks; manual lifting required.
* Availability for an on-call and after-hours roster.
* Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
* Full and unrestricted driver's license.
* Confidentiality with all personal details of the families we serve.
* A natural, sensitive, and warm ability to deal with loss and grief.
* Ability to work happily as part of a team.
