* Location: Eveleigh with flexible work arrangements across NSW Department of Education Offices
* A talent pool may be created through this recruitment process to fill anticipated vacancies over the next 18 months.
* Competitive remuneration ranging from $129,464 to $142,665 plus super & annual leave loading.

Department of Education Procurement Construction Sourcing team conducts the end-to-end trending process to support the School Infrastructure (SI) team. The SI team is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

About the role

As a Senior Sourcing Officer, you will provide specialist procurement sourcing services relating to Asset Management and Infrastructure projects to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions and deliver cost effective, value for money outcomes in accordance with the legislative requirements and NSW Government procurement outcomes.

Manage the tender sourcing stage including procurement planning, development and risk management activities to meet business and operational needs and deliver best practice procurement outcomes.

Essential requirements of the role

* Tertiary qualifications in procurement or contract management and/or relevant equivalent
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.

Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa). Ongoing (permanent) roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens, while temporary roles welcome applicants with a visa.
