GEM Switchboards is a locally owned electrical manufacturing business specialising in low voltage switchboards for the commercial, industrial and telecommunications sectors. With over 60 years of industry experience, we have built a strong reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across a wide range of projects.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee the delivery of electrical switchboard and manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, organised, and accountable, while working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification. This is a delivery-focused role where you’ll own projects end-to-end — from order acceptance and handover through to final delivery — working closely with design, procurement and production to keep everything on track
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end project delivery from handover to completion
* Coordinate and liaise with the internal design team to meet project requirements
* Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
* Manage project schedules, budgets, variations, and documentation
* Track design progress and ensure milestones are met
* Identify and manage project risks and issues
* Provide regular project updates and reporting to management
* Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and WHS requirements
About You
You are organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You build strong working relationships and take ownership of outcomes.
* Experience in a Project Manager or Project Coordinator role
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Well-organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
* Experience in electrical or engineering environments highly regarded
