About the Role

The new Vineyard Manager will be the key driver in quality focused viticulture for Small Wonder Vineyard, aligning the recent expansion and improvement works with their renowned level of excellence. * Be a brand advocate, hosting visitors, trade and VIPs in the vineyard, as well as involvement in industry events such as technical presentations and workshops.

About You

* Tertiary qualification in viticulture or similar discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in high‐end viticulture and vineyard management.
* Team management experience, with strong leadership skills.
* Experience in managing organic grape growing production is preferred, or experience in organics, biodiversity and/or sustainable farming practices would also be an advantage.
* Good observational and diagnostics skills, knowledge of soils, drainage, nutrient management, insects, weed management, canopy management, and crop harvesting, in an organic system.
* Skilled in writing reports, data collection, and correspondence.
* Proven ability in controlling budgets and reporting.
* Articulate, with strong presentation skills and experience with trade and media.
* High attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on quality.
* Organised, with effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet operational requirements.
* Ability and willingness to undertake manual labour tasks.
* Capacity for light domestic travel.
* ChemCert chemical handling certificate (or willingness to obtain quickly).
* Valid high risk forklift licence & driver's licence.

Given the nature of the business, it is important that you have a passion for sustainability and a commitment to working in an eco‐conscious organisation.
