Asset Engineer - Delivery | Local Government Contract

This role offers a minimum 12-month contract supporting programs overseeing contractors repairing footpaths, roads, road shoulders, drainage, and embankment/retaining wall assets supporting the delivery and maintenance of vital civil infrastructure.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Construction & Maintenance, you will:
* Investigate and recommend remediation works for roads, drainage, seawalls, jetties, and other civil assets
* Manage projects end-to-end, including procurement, contractor oversight, and delivery
* Contribute to planned maintenance programs and provide engineering support across the organisation
* Liaise with residents, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and council standards
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in local government or infrastructure asset management is highly desirable
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
