Job Description
We are currently seeking a
Storeperson: Warehouse
to join them on an 8/6 roster based on site. In this role, you will support the end-to-end warehouse and logistics function, including receiving, storing and dispatching goods, managing stock levels, liaising with freight providers, and operating forklifts and manual handling equipment. You'll ensure accurate receipting and identification of materials, participate in regular stocktakes, maintain organised storage systems, and uphold quality and safety standards. The role also requires proactive communication with customers and the flexibility to undertake additional tasks as the warehouse continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Perform a range of tasks including the receipt, storage and delivery of product, machinery, spare parts and accessories.
* Ensure all incoming goods/materials are appropriately identified, counted, receipted and located.
* Carry out activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle.
* Loading and unloading of goods using a forklift or other manual handling equipment.
* Liaise with third party freight service providers and schedule pickups.
* Take steps to avoid quality control issues.
* Participate in regular stocktaking and provide status reports to supervisor.
* Assist with locating and labelling of new warehouse bins to accommodate future growth and product/parts holdings.
* Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines and takes corrective action when necessary.
* Undertakes other tasks as directed or that may develop due to the changing aspects of the role.
* Maintain proactive, dynamic and effective communication with customers at all times.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Valid manual driver's licence.
* FIFO experience.
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
* Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar stores/warehousing role.
* Valid LF Forklift ticket.
* Proven stores/warehouse experience in a mining environment.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
* Proficiency in PRONTO systems.
* Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Work closely with the Accounts Payable team and assist with any information requests or requirements in a timely manner.
* Maintain warehouse, warehouse office, and surrounding warehouse areas to ensure that they are kept safe, clean and organised.
