What you'll do
Be the friendly face behind the scenes making our residential aged care environments safe functional and welcoming.
As Gardening & Maintenance Officer youll carry out a range of onsite maintenance and gardening tasks helping residents feel comfortable cared for and truly at home.
Youll also be a trusted go-to for minor repairs contractor coordination and site upkeep all while providing excellent customer service to the people who live and work at our sites.
Youll be trusted to make a valuable impact by :
Performing regular gardening and grounds maintenance to a high standard
Completing minor onsite repairs and supporting the smooth operation of equipment and facilities
Liaising with contractors to ensure works are completed safely on time and within budget
Maintaining accurate records of completed tasks assets and materials
Acting as a helpful professional and approachable presence on site
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role you will have :
Sound experience in gardening groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks
A current full drivers licence
Strong time management and communication skills
A customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well with older people
A reasonable level of physical fitness and capability
We would also love you to have :
A qualification in horticulture or a related trade (desirable)
Previous experience in aged care or a residential setting
Confidence using basic computer systems for logging jobs and records
A flexible attitude and willingness to work at multiple sites when required
