Job Title: Senior Cultural Care Specialist
About the Role:
* Support foster carers in developing their cultural awareness and connection to community for Aboriginal children in their care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrated commitment to values underpinning our vision and purpose.
* Experience working with Aboriginal families and children or in the child and family sector.
* Sound understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, protocols, inter-generational factors and complex care services programs.
* Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including agency staff, carers and Aboriginal services.
* Able to build professional networks across organisations to promote collaborative working groups for vulnerable Aboriginal children and young people.
Requirements:
* Qualifications in community services and/or youth work with significant industry experience.
* Minimum 3 years' case management experience desirable.
* Valid police check, WWCC and Victorian driver's licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended.
