Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll for staff ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Manage employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
* Handle payroll queries and provide exceptional support to staff members.
* Prepare and process superannuation contributions and other statutory obligations.
* Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations for the Accounting & Finance department.
* Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and tax regulations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll processes and systems.
* Stay updated on legislative changes impacting payroll practices.
* 4 day (0.8 FTE) Permanent role
Qualifications
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* A strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements.
* Experience within the not-for-profit sector is highly regarded but not essential.
* Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software. (Employment Hero preferred)
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines effectively and work within a team environment.
* Strong communication skills to address queries and liaise with internal stakeholders.
