Construction Superintendent to join Fortescue's Decarbonisation project team. Permanent role available full‐time/contract basis across Pilbara operations.

Roster: 2/1 roster
Report directly to the Construction Manager. Superintendents lead the Perth and Site Management Teams and contractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to high standards that meet end‐user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Directly manage a multi‐disciplinary team of up to 30 people on site
* Oversee the management of multiple contracting companies and projects on site
* Liaise with the Construction Manager, Perth Project Managers, Site Team, Contractors and Stakeholders on all relevant matters
* Attend project planning, risk assessments and kick‐off meetings
* Monitor contractor onboarding, tracking and review key deliverables ensuring all are met before work commences
* Participate in critical control monitoring, live infrastructure assessments and team‐based risk assessments for all projects
* Liaise with commissioning teams for handover and SIMOPS
* Coach and conduct field leadership sessions
* Participate and coach direct reports in risk management processes for projects; participate in incident investigations
* Ensure BMS obligations are met
* Develop and implement at least one safety initiative per quarter
* Ensure technical query (TQ) management is implemented and adhered to across all projects
* Ensure non‐conformance management (NCR), project close‐out (MDR) and inspection & test plan (ITP) management are implemented and adhered to across all projects
* Ensure handovers for infrastructure are prepared for relevant stakeholders with all required documents and deliverables
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive relative project or construction management experience
* Extensive experience leading multi‐disciplinary, diverse workforces
* Extensive experience in large earthworks projects (an advantage)
* Ability to influence in a large, dynamic business environment
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to foster strong relationships
* Able to look ahead across the entire works programme to optimise delivery
* Ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence
* Commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", skilled in risk management, consistent with safety and commercial requirements
* Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations and codes of practice associated with HS&E, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning
