About The Role
This role provides clinical education, training, and evaluation of skills and knowledge to promote and support improved nursing care. You’ll plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical education programs to groups and individuals, contributing to the development of our nursing workforce. You will work collaboratively with nursing staff and managers to identify and prioritize learning needs.
You will demonstrate advanced clinical nursing skills with knowledge and skills using technology appropriate to the Medical B clinical area.
As an experienced educator with a solid understanding of learning and assessment principles (such as Cert IV in Training and Assessment), you will provide day-to-day and one-on-one clinical education, along with in-services to meet team and individual learning needs, especially for new or inexperienced staff.
You will utilize various modalities to effectively engage learners across multiple shifts in a busy clinical environment. Importantly, you will promote a culture of continuous learning and development within our Living Well Together framework, providing clinical leadership, including preceptorship, mentorship, and role modeling.
You will monitor and evaluate educational programs through clinical competency assessments to identify education gaps and ensure that learning priorities are balanced with mandatory education requirements.
You will also participate in developing and reviewing procedures and guidelines to enhance educational advice and expertise.
