Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high presentation standards, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the supermarket, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and meet business standards
* Coordinate staff rostering, supervision, and performance management to maintain productivity and service quality
* Monitor stock levels across all product categories and organise timely ordering to ensure product availability
* Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising to enhance customer experience
* Liaise with suppliers, including local producers, to ensure consistent supply of fresh and quality products
* Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
* Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue and reduce wastage
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
* Manage pricing, promotions, and in-store displays to maximise sales opportunities
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a supermarket or grocery environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Sound understanding of inventory control and retail operations
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
