We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our Allied Health team on a fixed-term basis until March 2026. As a Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical exercise physiology services to clients/patients using evidence-based clinical practice skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prescribe, deliver, and supervise individual and group remedial and maintenance exercise programs for patients attending the service, including gym and/or hydrotherapy.
* Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, safe clinical services in various settings such as Inpatient, Outpatient, or home/community-based settings.
* Complete administrative duties arising from each session instructed, requiring liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data, and completion of clinical documentation.
* Develop treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients in collaboration with other team members.
* Participate actively in the multidisciplinary team and initiate referrals to external agencies in a timely manner.
* Use an evidence-based, problem-solving approach to clinical care and service development.
* Demonstrate consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in Exercise Physiology and related clinical areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
We are seeking a qualified Exercise Physiologist with a tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, or a related field, eligible for accreditation in Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). The ideal candidate will have experience in assessments, exercise prescriptions, monitoring, and progressions for special populations using evidence-based practices.
The successful applicant must be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number.
