Service Operations
Service Operations is part of the APAC Services organization. Our service approach combines specialized material handling expertise with local implementation, ensuring customers receive world-class service from our experienced team. We employ over 1,350 FTE at more than 100 sites worldwide across the Airport, Parcel & Postal, and Warehousing divisions.
Role Description
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will support one of our key customer systems in the Greater Sydney area. This role involves maintaining high-end automated material handling solutions critical to our customer's business. The system includes electro-mechanical components controlled by low-level and high-level control systems. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance activities during your shift, ensuring professional delivery of maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct electrical maintenance inspections
* Diagnose and repair electrical systems
* Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
* Assist with mechanical duties as needed
This is a full-time, on-site role with 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 roster.
Qualifications
* Electrical qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology) and contractor/supervisor license
* 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Service Engineer/Technician
* Understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.)
* Strong electrical background with mechanical aptitude
* Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) is highly regarded
* Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems is highly regarded
Position Requirements
* Obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card for Sydney Airport
* Pass criminal and ID checks to verify work entitlements in Australia
* Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
* Pass a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing
