About the role
Reporting to the Home Manager at Calvary Goonawarra, located in Sunbury, we currently have an opportunity for a Chef Manager to join our team. This rewarding role provides you with the opportunity to deliver contemporary, high-quality, and innovative approaches to create unique and interesting dining experiences for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* A passion for, and previous experience working as a Chef Manager in Aged Care
* Planning, preparing, and overseeing the preparation of daily meals and beverages that meet the individual needs of residents and patients, ensuring all meals are prepared in line with care plans and nutritional guidelines
* Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to catering services within the residential care sector
* Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision, and allergen management
What you bring
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
* Diploma of Hospitality
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies)
* Significant experience in a similar role in the residential care or healthcare sectors
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization
