Lead the next chapter of a respected Central Coast manufacturer
The company designs and manufactures premium outdoor blinds, awnings and shade solutions. We sell through a growing network of retail partners across NSW and beyond, and we’re on a clear path to double the size of the business over the next three years.
We’re looking for a General Manager – Sales to lead that growth and take overall accountability for the commercial performance of the business.
The role
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Owners. You’ll own the sales engine end-to-end — and the Production Manager and two office staff will report to you. Day to day, you’ll be:
* Hunting for new retailers. Building and working a real pipeline of retail partners across target geographies, running a structured sales process, and signing accounts that grow our footprint.
* Growing existing retailers. Owning the relationships, building account plans, and making sure every retailer is buying more from the business year on year.
* Setting the sales strategy. Segmentation, targets, pricing input, channel approach, and our Retailer Partner Program — translated into a quarterly plan with measurable outcomes.
* Leading the team. Managing the Production Manager and office staff, setting standards, running the meeting cadence, and developing the bench strength to support a much bigger business.
* Running the business holistically. Working with the Owners on strategy, supplier negotiations, capacity decisions, and marketing direction — and making sure sales commitments and production capacity stay in sync.
You’ll be in the field with retailers regularly, and based at our West Gosford site the rest of the time.
Who we’re looking for
We’re less interested in industry pedigree than in the right operator. You probably have:
* A strong track record of growing B2B / wholesale revenue — ideally through retailer, dealer, distributor or trade channels
* Experience opening new accounts from cold as well as growing existing ones
* Comfort leading a team that includes operations / production, not just sales
* The commercial nous to contribute to whole-of-business decisions — pricing, supplier deals, capacity, strategy
* A practical, hands-on style — happy in a manufacturing environment, comfortable on a retailer’s showroom floor, and able to roll your sleeves up
* A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly to retailers and trade events
Experience in outdoor living, building products, window furnishings, awnings, blinds, shade or a related category is a plus — but a great commercial leader from an adjacent category will be seriously considered.

Base salary $90,000 + superannuation
* On-target earnings of $140,000+ super, with an uncapped commission scheme rewarding growth from both new and existing retailers
