As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs. Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions. Lindsay Fresh is also involved in transhipping, ripening services, and produce storage for customers and market agents as well as cross-docking, fumigation and import/export. Today we employ over 1,800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.
The Role
Import / Export Administrator required for our Lindsay Fresh Logistics located in the Brisbane Markets, Rocklea.
You will oversee all the paperwork and requirements needed for our freight coming in and out of Australia.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintain export / import inbox.
- Capture and manage customer bookings including creating job files.
- Maintain job schedule including:
- Checking for inbound availability and outbound cutoffs
- Liaising with operations and logistics teams to schedule collection and or delivery
- Book necessary DAFF inspections
- Manage any reconditioning, treatment and re-inspections as required.
- Document management to meet regulatory requirements including:
- Processing DAFF directions
- Generating export documentation
- Maintain customer schedules and forecasts
- Pricing and invoicing job files
The role will be Monday to Friday however we are seeking an individual who is flexible to work outside standard hours to accommodate peak seasonality and a rotating weekend roster.
About You
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven industry experience with familiarity of export/import regulations and compliance
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers
- Established administration experience with high attention to detail ensuring accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to prioritise high volume of work and work in a quick-paced environment
- Have excellent time management skills with exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Have a positive attitude with the willingness to learn
- Be a team player with a solution-focused attitude
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to changing logistics scenarios
