Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project field engineering specialization and expertise.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
* Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities.
* Prepare, review, and approve Electrical work packages.
* Implement project requirements and ensure that construction installation requirements are met.
* Perform in progress and final quality and completeness inspections of Electrical, Instrumentation, and EEHA installation.
* Develop punch lists and monitor completion of punch items.
* Prepare and disposition Request for Information (RFI's), Field Change Documents (FCD's) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
* Coordinate with engineering to resolve E&I design and constructability issues.
* Resolve and close out of vendor and Modyard carryover works, NCRs and necessary documentations.
* Provide technical assistance to superintendents, supervisors, and craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Have competency in Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (EEHA) and related Australian Standards.
* Oil & Gas or LNG Project construction experience assigned as Electrical Field Engineer.
* Direct Hire Experience, preferably in a lump-sum environment.
* Understanding of applicable project procedures including Standard Work Process Procedures.
* Familiarity with project applications such as Setroute, TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, and Unifier.
* Excellent problem-solving ability.
Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather.
